Your doctor will review information received by your GP such as your shared care records and past reports related to any mental health difficulties if you suffered from such. You will receive a set of preassessment questionaries which you will need to complete before the assessment so that your doctor can review, score and factor during the diagnostic process. We will also seek collateral information from individuals such as friends and family who could comment about your current and past difficulties and how those affect you, this could be submitted as a report or provided in person as part of the assessment process.
The face-to-face assessments take place at the Tower Clinic, Leeds and we are in the process of establishing a clinic in other geographical regions.
You will receive a link for online assessments which you will be posted to your e-mail at shortly after our admin books you in for an appointment.
The assessment consists of:
1. clinical interview
2. outcome
3. discussion
You will have a discussion about your current and past difficulties and how those impact your daily functioning. Your doctor will use semi-structured interview questions to establish if you meet the diagnostic threshold for ADHD. You will be informed of the outcome and recommendations at the end of the interview.
A written report will be provided within 2 weeks following the assessment.
